The sound installation by Laura Cemin “I was a fish. I was a fish, in a pond.” is the result of a performative act. Thinking in motion, the performer uses the simple motor skill of jumping as a tool to questions expectations that becomes apparent through the particular action - reach higher, get stronger, push further.

The work was displayed in the “Between effort and relaxation” exhibition. The show consists of sculptural installations and machinima productions, virtual experiences, and performative gestures. The title refers to the constant search of the artists to deal with bodies and their presence/absence in spaces.
