Freshman day 27.8.2021
Orientation day 27.8.2021 of the Uniarts Helsinki will be both a live and a remote event via Zoom at 11:00-14:00.
The purpose of the day is to bring all the students from different academies together and get to know the University of the Arts a little bit better. We hope that the day will spark your thinking and create connections that expand your artistic horizons during your studies.
The programme is in two parts, because you can EITHER come physically to the place OR participate remotely in Zoom. The place is the Soutustadion stands (Merikannontie 4, 00260 Hki) and we can keep the required safety distances, as we are outdoors.
TASK: Take one item that is the color of your acadamy (clothing, mug, pillow etc) and bring it with you either to the Soutustadion or the Zoom. If you're coming to Soutustadion, also take a phone with you so you can join the Zoom sessions.

Opening of Uniarts Helsinki's 2021-2022 academic year 2.9.2021
Welcome to celebrate the opening of the academic year on Thursday, 2 September 2021, at 15:00–16:00.
The celebrations are held remotely, and everyone can watch an online stream of the event on our YouTube channel starting from 15:00. The event takes place in the Camerata Hall of the Helsinki Music Centre.
As part of the academic year’s opening, video art by Academy of Fine Arts students Verneri Salonen and Samuel Thompson-Plant will be shown on the media screen of the Helsinki Music Centre at 14:30–15:00 and 16:30–17:00.
