Accommodation must be booked individually. We have, however, reserved accommodation quotas for our conference guests in three hotels in the city centre: Sokos Hotel Torni (Yrjönkatu 26), Holiday Inn Helsinki City Centre (Elielinaukio 5) and Kongressikoti Hotel (Snellmaninkatu 15 A, located 1300 m from the conference venue).  As the conference venue (Helsinki Music Centre) is in the centre of Helsinki, there are also numerous other hotels nearby (e.g. Sokos Hotel Presidentti, Omenahotelli and Hotel Finn).

As for the policies concerning the quota reservations, each participant makes his/her hotel reservations and pays for the accommodation individually. When making a reservation, please use the reservation code Confronting2014 (Sokos Hotel Torni and Holiday Inn Helsinki City Centre) or mention the name of the symposium (Kongressikoti Hotel). Please note also that the conference organizers do not guarantee the availability of hotel rooms after the negotiated quota deadlines.  

Unfortunately, budget hotels in Helsinki rarely accept quota reservations, and thus most of the quota options that we can offer are from the mid-price and high-price categories. For more information about different accommodation possibilities and hotel deals in Helsinki, we suggest checking the offers on online booking agencies (e. g. http://www.booking.com or  http://www.hotels.com) for the conference dates.
