Kuva research days 2020

The sixth edition of KuvA Research Days, arranged in December 2020, by the Academy of Fine Arts at Uniarts Helsinki, addressed a highly complex and heterogeneous set of framing conditions of knowing, learning, thinking and being together. The Research Days were held due to the pandemic as an online three-day event with five different program entities. Discussed themes were e.g., indigenous peoples, art pedagogy, peer review practices in artistic research as well as our environment in an age of crisis. Of fifty speakers during the Days about a third were international artist-researchers.

The Research days gathered 180 participants, of which about 40 percent were international attendees. You can view videos from the program day 7.12.2020 “Mental independence – is it possible?” and the 9.12.2020 held panel discussion “Should this submission be published? Your conclusions”.
