Daily and weekly rhythms

Practice is a student’s day job!

Systematic planning is vital.

Keep a diary of your practice periods.

Define your playing as
1 = rest day
2 = very light day
3 = relatively light day
4 = standard day
5 = relatively heavy day
6 = very heavy day

Estimate the total loading for your daily practice (add together your scores for the week) and log the total in your practice diary.

You can also note the content of your practice sessions, the number of hours you practised for (net), as well as how you felt while practising – what went well, and what maybe didn’t go so well.

(NOTE! These scores don’t denote the number of hours you practiced for.)
