Recovery and cooling down

 

 

 

Stretching and cooling down prepare you for your next session
 

Stretching enables the increase in blood flow caused by playing to remove waste products.

When stretching, your muscles return to their central position and resting length, which makes it easier to begin the next exercise.

Remember light pump stretching for muscle groups that have just been working.

Remember to keep hydrated and maintain your energy reserves:
during lengthy exercises/performances
if you feel your muscles starting to cramp
if you suffer from the above-mentioned symptoms, water and carbohydrates will provide quick recovery.
 
Cool down at the end:
10 - 15 minutes, decreasing intensity, relaxing remember your whole body walking, jumping
